We, the School Council are the representitives for all pupils to ensure that their voices are heard, by making sure their ideas are lisend to and are carried out by presenting a termly
The School Council is formed at the beginning of each academic year, where each class holds a democratic vote to choose their candidate, after each candidate has explained why they want to be the representitive from their class on the School Council.
We are resposible for promoting various projects such as Healthy Schools, Wellbeing and E-Safety.
Healthy Schools
We are proud to be promoting the Carmarthenshire Healthy Schools Programme. We have already received five healthy schools leaves for completing and continuing with the aims. The programme plays an important part in every day school life. When children begin school they are encouraged to drink plenty of water as well as eat a balanced diet. We have a fruit shop in the school where children can buy their morning and afternoon snack. We regularly discuss health issues as part of our school work, as well as teaching values.
We are part of the Mile a Day Campaigne, where we all walk a mile a Day to keep healthy and the Children’s Rights Campaigne.
